World of Warcraft Classic Pre-Launch Test Is Now Live

Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Classic, a vanilla version of the popular MMORPG, has one more test before it launches. The pre-launch test is available now and will be available until tomorrow. If you’re interested in trying out WoW Classic, head over to Battle.net and download it. Then, connect the title to your WoW account. World of Warcraft Classic is essentially an older version of the game, complete with all content prior to The Burning Crusade. Max level is 60 and all mechanics from the base game – like the original eight races and nine classes – are exactly as they were from 2004. You might wonder what the appeal is, but fans have been clamoring for a classic version of the game for years.

WoW Classic fans will have their final chance to put the new (old) build through its paces this week. Exclusively available on Battle.Net, the new WoW Classic Stress Test is kicking off tomorrow, August 8.Blizzard revealed as much earlier this month, telling fans that it would begin in the morning for some and the evening for others. It will all depend on where you live in the world in regards to the exact timing of the WoW Classic Stress Test. For gamers in the UK, the World of Warcraft Classic beta should begin at around 7pm, BST. And like all the other testing periods, this week’s WoW Classic beta will only be available to those with an active subscription. If you want to Buy World of Warcraft Classic Gold, I think 5mmo.com is your best choice, after all, the site has been officially certified,so it's very safe.

One thing to note is that any progress made during this time will be wiped come launch, so cap out to 15 if you want (that's the pre-launch cap), but know that you'll be starting over when August 27th rolls around.

As far as PC specs go:

•    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
•    Processor: Intel core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750
•    Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 501 MB or AMD Radeon HD 4850 512 MB, Intel HD Graphics 4000
•    Memory: 2 GB Ram (4 GB for integrated graphics)
•    Storage: 5 GB
•    No controller support is supported
•    Resolution: 1024 x 768 minium

Blizzard also released the specs required to play World of Warcraft Classic. These specs are for the PC and Mac versions of the game, and the bare minimum required is a lot lower than what is asked for Battle for Azeroth. Also, it's worth noting that Blizzard tried running the game on systems manufactured and released in the months between 2007 and 2009, meaning that you can basically run the game on decades-old hardware. It is, after all, just a revamped version of the early years of World of Warcraft. That said, World of Warcraft Classic comes with some improvements, as the hard drive requirements for this title are much smaller now than that of version 1.12 of the original World of Warcraft.
